In August 2012, the LAMAVE (lamave.org) team with the help of the LGU of Alcantara, DENR and PENRO managed to release four sea turtles that were kept in Sea Paradise, a zoo in a mangrove area. Turtles don't do well in captivity and they belong in our oceans. I hope this is only the beginning and that we can release and rehabilitate a lot more turtles kept in captivity.
